Official Meeting with Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia

On April 18, 2022, Dr. Amir Ali Salemi met with H.E. Mr. H. Bambang Soesatyo, SE, MBA, Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR RI) and Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia. The meeting focused on potential investment opportunities in Indonesia, particularly in the downstream mineral sector.

Discussions highlighted Indonesia’s vast nickel reserves and its ambition to become a leading global producer of nickel ore, especially for electric vehicle (EV) battery production. Dr. Salemi expressed JTA’s interest in contributing to the development of Indonesia’s mineral downstream sector, emphasizing the importance of mutually beneficial investment opportunities that drive sustainable growth.
