On June 7, 2023, Dr. Amir Ali Salemi, actively participated in the Al-Attiyah Foundation’s CEO Roundtable. This pivotal event addressed the challenges posed by volatile energy markets in the pursuit of achieving net-zero emissions. Renowned experts and industry leaders convened to share insights on advancing clean energy solutions despite ongoing global uncertainties, demonstrating a shared commitment to sustainability and innovation.

The roundtable, moderated by acclaimed broadcaster Stephen Cole, featured valuable contributions from distinguished speakers. Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Al-Attiyah Foundation, highlighted the importance of the event’s timely focus, emphasizing its relevance to both energy companies and the public.

Discussions underscored the resilience of clean energy investments, with approximately $1.4 trillion invested globally in 2022, as reported by the International Energy Agency (IEA). These investments included solar farms, battery technologies, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, showcasing the sector’s steady growth despite challenges such as the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, and rising interest rates.
