On September 16, 2025, Dr. Amir Ali Salemi, CEO of JTA International Investment Holding (JTA Holding), met with H.E. Raimonds Vējonis, Former President of the Republic of Latvia and President of the Latvian Basketball Association, to discuss potential avenues for cooperation between JTA and Latvia across a range of strategic sectors. As President of the Latvian Basketball Association, H.E. Raimonds Vējonis shared his perspective on how sports can play a transformative role in social and economic progress. Dr. Amir and President Vējonis discussed potential initiatives in sports infrastructure development, athlete training programs, and knowledge exchange in sports management.
