Official Meeting with President of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar

On October 30, 2024, Dr. Amir Ali Salemi, met with the President of Zanzibar, H.E. Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, in Doha, Qatar. The meeting focused on the investment landscape in Zanzibar and potential areas for collaboration.

During their discussion, Dr. Salemi provided an update on JTA’s ongoing investment in building a new port facility in Zanzibar. President Mwinyi expressed his full support for this initiative, emphasizing the country’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment for foreign investors.

President Mwinyi highlighted Zanzibar’s significant potential for growth in the tourism sector, reinforcing the government’s dedication to attracting high-quality investments. Dr. Salemi, in turn, expressed keen interest in expanding investment opportunities beyond infrastructure, exploring possibilities in tourism, mining, and agriculture.
